"That's the Way that the World Goes 'Round"

Culture...

  • the collective behavior, enlightened or superstitious, of human groups in response to their environment, repeated over time,  that ultimately comes to arbitrarily define the boundaries of identity for individuals within those groups. Such boundaries are jealously guarded, consciously and sub-consciously, individually and communally, and resist most strenuously any attempt at alteration. Being human-made, however, culture cannot be rightly held as sacred. Yet, the few who dare resist will be marginalized, while the majority who conceed, will become anachronous.
